Occupational health and safety

Spanish labour legislation includes a series of measures aimed at minimising risks to workers and guaranteeing their safety.

An occupational health and safety plan must be drawn up for all audiovisual projects filmed in Spain. This plan must be validated by the corresponding national body, the National Institute for Health and Safety at Work, dependent on the Spanish Ministry of Work and Social Economy

Regarding the hiring of temporary staff for both technical and artistic tasks, there is a specific regulation, the Collective Agreement for the Audiovisual Production Industry. This regulation sets the salary scales and minimum contract conditions in accordance with the categories defined.

Consult the nearest film commission or film office for details of each specific procedure.
