The report Economic Impact of Spain’s Rebates for Investments in International Film and Television Series is a project commissioned by Spain Film Commission, prepared by Olsberg SPI, with collaboration of PROFILM, aimed at evaluating the economic impact of the tax rebates offered in Spain to attract investment in international film and television productions.

This analysis was conducted as part of the Spain Audiovisual Hub project, an initiative launched in 2021 by the Government of Spain, co-financed by the European Union’s NextGenerationEU programme. The goal of this initiative is to increase audiovisual production levels by 30% by 2025.

The data collected in this report covers a four-year period, from 2019 to 2022, with the main objective of understanding how tax deductions in audiovisual production have influenced the Spanish economy, with a particular focus on job creation, contribution to Gross Value Added (GVA), and other key economic indicators.
