About Spain Film Commission

Spain Film Commission is a not-for-profit association that coordinates Spain’s film commission and film offices network, spearheading the drive to position the country in the film industry and convert it into an attractive destination for productions of all types.

Since it was founded in 2001, Spain Film Commission has worked tirelessly to position Spain as an ideal destination for audiovisual shootings. Over the years, it has coordinated the network’s efforts and today is considered an audiovisual industry benchmark both in Spain and abroad.

Spain Film Commission is also a founding and current member of the EUFCN (The European Film Commission Network) and also belongs to the AFCI (The Association of Film Commissioners International). It collaborates actively with the Spanish government, numerous regional institutions and film production companies in order to consolidate audiovisual activity and boost the country’s audiovisual industry.

Objectives

The objectives set by Spain Film Commission include the following:

Coordinating the film commission and film office network.

Promoting Spain internationally as an audiovisual shooting destination.

Liaising with central, regional and municipal administrations to promote the film shooting industry.

Collaborating with public administrations for the creation of an efficient tax incentive system.

Promoting the opening of new international markets.

Driving film or screen tourism.
