As well as attending producers throughout the Basque Country, Madrid and Barcelona, the Film Office of Vitoria-Gasteiz also provided its services to producers from countries such as UK, Sweden, Argentina and the US.
Vitoria-Gasteiz Film Office has started the first trimester of the year with an intense activity, in which it has already collaborated with more than 15 audiovisual projects including fiction and documentary feature films, short films and TV programmes.
Vitoria-Gasteiz and all the Territory of Álava is gaining visibility among the national and international audiovisual production companies due to its great potential as a filming location, in which 3 fundamental factors stands out:
- Its landscape diversity not exploited on the screen; valleys and swamps, futuristic buildings and medieval vestiges, vineyards and wineries and one of the largest Chroma in Europe. All this within a few kilometers of each other which helps the logistics of the projects.
- Professionals of recognized standing and broad experience in national and international large scale productions that will respond effectively to all kinds of shootings.
- Advantages and benefits: In addition to having interesting tax incentives, the Film Office of Vitoria-Gasteiz offers a total exemption in the use of public space for all the audiovisual productions that have a cultural character.
All these factors have contributed to Vitoria-Gasteiz and the Territory of Álava to reinforce its position as a setting of interest for the filming of all types of audiovisual productions and each year a greater number of audiovisual producers both national and international show their interest in the Territory.
