The European Film Market gets started and Spain Film Commission is in Berlinale
The European Film Market starts its activity from the 7th to the 15th February within the framework of the Berlinale. “Cinema from Spain” has organized many activities and will gather sales agents, institutions and film commissions.
Spain Film Commission participates one year more in the most important European audiovisual market to continue positioning Spain as a shooting destination and making the most famous locations, the professionals and Spanish incentives known. Canary Island Films, Madrid Film - Region of Madrid and Andalucía Film Commission will be present in the “Cinema from Spain” area.
Besides of the multiple professional meetings, the entity has organized, together with the Spanish Embassy in Germany and the support of Sub Dirección General de Industrias Culturales y Mecenazgo del Ministerio de Cultura, a photographic exhibition: “España, un destino de cine”, which gathers 36 big format images that show the most emblematic locations of all the Spanish autonomous communities. The exhibition will be released on the 12th February, during the reception organized by ICAA (Instituto the Cinematografía y de las Artes Audiovisuales), and it will be possible to visit it from the 13th February to the 15th March. A video over the attraction of shootings in Spain will be shown in this exhibition, which pretends to attract new visitors to Spain.
The exhibition is organized by Víctor Lamadrid, director of Cantabria Film Commission and vice-chairman of Spain Film Commission, who said that “In this exhibition we are going to be able to see good examples of screen tourism: beaches, mountains, rivers, architecture, unique buildings,… We have tried that in this exhibition all the Spanish regions have presence”.
