09/27/2018

This event took place within the framework of the San Sebastián Film Festival on the 24th September and it has gathered a huge number of personalities of the audiovisual industry at national and international level.

Andalucía Film Commission is now 20 years and celebrates that is the oldest one in Spain. It is the pioneer of the cinema tourism in Spain and one of the film commissions with a longer international career. Since its creation in 1998, it has been promoting Andalusia as a shooting destination and supporting companies and professionals that work in the audiovisual industry.

This event was presented by Carlos Rosado, Spain Film Commission and Andalucía Film Commission’s president, and attended by Piluca Querol, Andalucía Film Commission’s director; Susana Ibáñez, tourism’s general secretary of Andalusia’s government, who highlighted the role of the cinematographic tourism as a “vector of promotion of Andalusia, its cultural identity and its enormous natural and monumental patrimony”; José Antonio del Saz, RTVA’s director; and Cristina Saucedo, Culture’s general secretary of Andalusia´s government.

The event was mainly focused on the release of the new website “Andalucía, destino de cine” (Andalusia, film destination), a tool that offers a panoramic view of everything that cinema in Andalusia is, was and will be: from knowing the spots where mythical scenes were shot, to suggestions of cinematographic routes in Andalusia, to the last news on the cinematographic industry in Andalusia.
