According to the City of Madrid Film Office, during the first four months of 2018, the City Council of Madrid processed a total of 3,987 requests for filming on the streets, parks and municipal gardens from 362 different audio-visual projects. We must note the numbers of advertising films, as they represented 47% of the projects developed during the term.

As far as fiction is concerned, among the feature films having obtained  filming permits in the city, we have projects such as Mientras dure la guerra, the new film by Alejandro Amenábar; Bajo el mismo techo, the new comedy by director Juana Macías; Mi amor Perdido, by Emilio Martínez-Lázaro; Un mundo normal, the return to direction of Achero Mañas; the debut features ¿Qué te juegas?, by Inés de León, and @buelos, Nunca es tarde para emprender, by Santiago Requejo; Taxi a Gibraltar, by Alejo Flah; or the feature film Lunnis de Leyenda, directed by Juan Pablo Buscaini.

Among the fiction TV series, we highlight the first seasons of Arde Madrid (Andy Joke, Movistar +) and La otra mirada (Boomerang TV, TVE), the second seasons of Las chicas del cable (Bambú Producciones, Netflix), Vergüenza (Apache Films, Movistar +) and Paquita Salas (Apache Films, Netflix), and the new seasons of Cuéntame cómo pasó (Ganga Productions, TVE), La que se avecina (Contubernio, Mediaset Spain), Velvet (Bambú Producciones, Atresmedia) and Acacias 38 ( Boomerang TV, TVE), among other titles.

Of the total of permits requested, 2,458 corresponded to Statements, shots of reduced dimensions not implying a cost for the applicants; and 1,529 to Street usage permits, shots of larger dimensions implying the payment of a municipal fee. All these projects shot on the streets have meant a profit of € 127,012.52 for the city during the first four months of the year.
