Spanish audiovisual is presented in Fitur as a key element in the intelligent promotion of tourism

Fitur Screen will be the meeting point of audiovisual and tourism industry in IFEMA Madrid, from January 22 to 26, 2020

For second consecutive year, Spain Film Commission presents a specific program aimed at tourism professionals with the objective of spreading the characteristics and advantages of promoting film tourism in Spain.

FITUR SCREEN wants to become a platform that connects tourism and film industry, improves knowledge on film tourism, promotes commercial exchange between the different actors involved and makes proposals for the future development of this sector in Spain. In addition to its impact on local economy, a film or television shooting is a powerful tourism promotion tool. It facilitates the positioning of territories. According to official data provided by the Association of Producers APPA, film and TV series shootings economy reaches 646 million euros annually, to which we must add 457 million generated by advertising shootings.

FITUR SCREEN will have its own space in FITUR 2020, It will be divided in three main sections: an exhibition area in which the different participants will be able to promote current cinematographic tourism proposals (50% more participants than in 2019 edition); a B2B area to promote commercial meetings between the different actors of this sector; and a stage with presentations, exhibitions and conferences organized by Spain Film Commission.

SPAIN FILM COMMISSION HONORARY AMBASSADORS

Spain Film Commission will distinguish two personalities from audiovisual industry as Honorary Ambassadors: actress Aitana Sánchez-Gijón and cinematographer Javier Aguirrasarobe. They will have the mission of spreading the advantages that Spain has to attract international shootings and the potential and talent of Spanish audiovisual industry professionals. The prize for the best audiovisual production made in Spain in 2019 will also be awarded in order to highlight productions that contribute to the international image of Spain as a set of audiovisual shootings.

FITUR SCREEN is an initiative promoted by Spain Film Commission that In 2020 assumes the challenge of contributing to make Spain a global Audiovisual Hub.
